Fi has painstakingly transferred the traced lines onto the artboard, and I'm in the process of cleaning up the lines, adding some details (she'll hate me for the details, it's going to make her job of painting it a lot harder), and getting it generally ready for her to begin painting. Oooo!

Here's a girl I sketched recently. I think I posted the sketch here, but don't hold me to that. Anyway, I got a little bored this morning, and decided to throw some colour on it. I'd only saved a small version, so it was a bit challenging, but I think it looks okay. Heck, it's only a colour study anyway. If I get the final version done and inked, this will stand as a good bit of experimenting.

Alright, so inksville arrived a bit quicker than I was expecting. I just couldn't hold back from inking this piece. I had a brand new pair of Faber Castell PITT brush pens (my old ones were getting... old), so I hit it like whoa.
Woosh! Long time between posts, huh. Alas, 'tis the season to be lazy. Incidentally, a Happy Festivus to alla y'all!
So okay, here's a new sketchoodle.
I used photo reference for this one, as I've been doing a lot lately. Here's a quick Photoshopped merge of the two photos that I went with. The dude is a photo the guy himself posted on a design forum I sometimes frequent, and the bird is some anime fan cosplaying the day away, by the looks of it. Google Images is a wonder.
Both of the guns look pretty bad right now; I kind of forgot to finish those off before scanning the sketch. That's okay though, I'll tweak those a bit before this piece goes to ink. I'm not 100% happy with the girl's torso; it's very bare down the centre. I wanted her to have smallish breasts, so I can't just go filling the space by squeezing her wee boobs together. I'll come up with something. Or maybe I'll just leave it. I dunno. What do you think?
Well, I finally got tattooed! The funny thing about it is that it's all at once everything you've been told, and nothing like what you'd been told. It's one of those many things in life that can't quite be explained, or appreciated without having undergone it yourself. So, I shan't bother to try! Suffice to say, it started out "ouch" and finished up with "wow, I'm kinda sad this is over!". You can read more about it on mine and Lorien's Livejournal.
